In China, the large-scale production of plastic steel profiles began in 1995. At present, the production capacity of plastic steel profiles is quite high. Most manufacturers cannot fully utilize their production capacity, and overproduction and homogeneous competition are serious.
At present, the general national standard for plastic steel profiles in my country is GB/8814-2004. Unlike European and American countries, my country has a single variety of profiles. The main ones circulating in the market are 60, 65, 70 casement door and window series, 80, 88, 92, 97 mm sliding series door and window profiles.
At present, European profiles have changed from European to American styles as the market mainstream, but American profiles are developing rapidly. This is driven by some plastic steel profile companies exporting to the United States. American lifting windows have been deeply favored by consumers for their lively, beautiful, exquisite structure, rich decorativeness, high light rate, high water permeability and other advantages. With the development of European profiles in China for more than 20 years, the status of American profiles in China can no longer completely replace European profiles.
From pure white to color, colored profiles have changed the monotonous white color of plastic steel doors and windows, and can match the overall color of the building. In recent years, the market share of colored profiles has risen rapidly, especially in some high-end residential areas.
In addition, the new trend of plastic steel profiles has become increasingly prominent. Low cost, the price of plastic doors and windows is much lower than that of aluminum and wooden doors and windows with the same strength and service life. In recent years, the sharp rise in metal prices and the shortage of wood have made this advantage increasingly obvious. Colorful, the application of colored steel profiles adds a lot of color to the building. Wooden doors and windows were used before. In order to achieve harmony between the appearance of doors and windows and buildings, paint was often sprayed on the surface of doors and windows. The paint is easy to age and peel off when exposed to ultraviolet rays. It will be unrecognizable in a few years, which is inconsistent with the life of the building. Colored doors and windows were invented later, but they are expensive and cannot be afforded by ordinary consumers. The use of plastic doors and windows solves this problem. Colored film profiles can even produce a wood grain effect that is indistinguishable from the real thing. Adding reinforced steel to the profile cavity can greatly improve the strength of the profile, and it has earthquake resistance and wind erosion resistance.
In addition, the multi-cavity structure of the profile and the independent drainage cavity prevent water from entering the reinforced steel cavity, avoiding corrosion of the steel and increasing the service life of doors and windows. The addition of anti-ultraviolet components also improves the weather resistance of plastic steel profiles, so they can be used safely even in tropical areas with strong ultraviolet rays. Good thermal insulation, the thermal conductivity of plastic steel profiles is far less than that of aluminum profiles, and the design of the multi-cavity structure can achieve better thermal insulation effect. Surveys show that in summer, the indoor temperature of rooms with plastic steel doors and windows is 5-7 degrees lower than that of aluminum doors and windows of the same type, while in winter, it is 8-15 degrees higher in different places. Plastic steel doors and windows with good sealing of hollow glass have excellent sound insulation performance. Sound insulation has become the main condition for selecting doors and windows, especially in residential areas in downtown areas. Plastic steel doors and windows are assembled using welding technology, and the closed multi-cavity structure has a very obvious shielding effect on noise.
Taking plastic steel windows as an example, the sealing strip between the side sashes of casement windows is a strip of circumference, and its docking position should be in the middle of the upper horizontal edge, not at the corner, and not cut into several sections. Fold the strip flat at the corner, press the glass sealing strip at a 45-degree angle, ensure that the strip length overlaps the cutting corner tightly, and the color bonding of the strip joint can achieve a better sealing effect. In addition, the corresponding model of seal should be selected according to the thickness of the glass. The seal must be full-grooved to ensure the sealing effect and normal installation of the glass. Multiple connections are not allowed in the same groove. At the same time, when installing the glass, pay attention to the fact that glass pads should be placed around the glass, and the frame edge should be glued and fixed. It is recommended to use 5 mm float glass.
