Are Your UPVC Windows&Doors Profiles Strong?

August 12, 2025

Residential and commercial spaces are inextricably linked to windows and doors with profiles. The market is currently experiencing a paradigm shift in the materials used to manufacture these doors and windows. uPVC profiles are increasingly popular in homes, and there are many reasons for their strong demand. One of the most prominent advantages of these uPVC profiles is their strength and durability.

The strength and durability of these uPVC profiles stems from their manufacturing process. Let’s take a closer look at how LUYANG creates these truly sturdy uPVC profiles.

The following are the steps involved in uPVC profile extrusion:

Extrusion Process:

The extrusion of uPVC profiles is the first step in the manufacturing process. Extrusion is the birth of uPVC windows and doors. The extrusion process requires preparing a mixture with specific ingredients. The extrusion of uPVC profiles requires a temperature of 200-275°C.

Resin Mixture Composition:

During the mixing process, Okotech uses a high content of titanium dioxide (TiO2) and a low content of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) to make the extruded profiles more durable, stronger, and UV-resistant. These ingredients in the mix act as stabilizers for the extruded profiles. Lead is commonly used as a stabilizer, but Luyang is different. The resin mixture is lead-free, making Luyang uPVC profiles lead-free and environmentally friendly.

After the extrusion process:

The production of uPVC extruded profiles requires large-scale automated mixing equipment to ensure accurate and scientific mixing of the raw materials. Once the mixture is prepared, the molten mixture is fed into a dyeing machine, which shapes the extruded profile during the stretching process. The uPVC profile is now cooled in a water bath. Once fully cooled, packaging labels and protective tape are applied to the uPVC profile. The uPVC profile is then cut into standard shapes for sale.

Reinforcement:

After the extrusion process, the uPVC profile now requires reinforcement. Galvanized rebar is used for superior reinforcement. It is the most suitable reinforcement element for uPVC profiles.

These materials produce strong, durable, and environmentally friendly uPVC profiles.
