September 1, 2025

1. Material Preparation
After installing the plastic-steel doors and windows at the renovation site, residents must ensure that the surface or structure of the plastic-steel doors and windows is not damaged during transportation, and that the plastic-steel door and window components, such as hardware, weatherstripping, and gutters, are properly assembled.
2. Marking and Positioning
After thoroughly cleaning the installation site, it is necessary to determine the installation location of the doors and windows according to the construction drawings, determine the size and height of the doors and windows, and mark the markings. If the plastic-steel doors and windows are to be installed in a multi-story or high-rise building, the installation and positioning of the plastic-steel doors and windows must be based on the top edge of the doors and windows. Use a wire rope or a warp gauge to bend the edges of the doors and windows to the right, and mark the top edge of each door and window. Cut off any uneven edges. Ensure that the height of the lower pane of glass is consistent for each typical door and window.
3. Door and Window Installation
Install the plastic-steel doors and windows according to the marked installation locations. During installation, ensure the correct installation location and that the height and width meet construction requirements. Ensure the sturdiness of the plastic-steel doors and windows.
4. Anti-corrosion Treatment
During installation, the perimeter of the doors and windows also requires anti-corrosion treatment. If specific requirements were specified during the design process, these requirements must be adhered to. If not, you can apply anti-corrosion paint around the plastic-steel doors and windows as an anti-corrosion treatment. However, be careful not to allow direct contact between the paint and the plastic-steel doors and windows to prevent chemical corrosion.
5. Installation and Fixing
After the anti-corrosion treatment, the doors and windows need to be fixed. At a minimum, after adjusting the horizontal, vertical, and diagonal alignment of the doors and windows, temporarily secure them with wooden wedges. Afterwards, secure the plastic-steel doors and windows with their iron feet. If there are no embedded iron parts, use a nail gun to secure the iron feet.
6. Glass Installation
After securing the doors and windows, address the gap between the doors and windows and the wall before installing the glass. Glass installation varies depending on the type of plastic-steel door and window. For example, after installing and securing the sliding doors and windows in the door and window frames, install the entire glass door and window frame into the frame’s runners and adjust the gap between the frame and the fan.
7. Installing Accessories
The final step is to install the hardware for the plastic-steel doors and windows. Installation of the hardware is simple, but it is important to ensure that it is sturdy and flexible.
